Bedrock and console players on a Java bot server

Mineflayer bots are Java clients. To let Bedrock players (phone, Windows, consoles) join the same world, Steve's server runs Paper with two plugins:

• Geyser translates Bedrock connections into Java ones
• Floodgate lets Bedrock players join without a Java account

Steps (summary of the official docs)

1. Install Paper and start it once.
2. Download Geyser and Floodgate for Spigot/Paper from geysermc.org into plugins/.
3. Restart. Geyser's default port is 19132; current docs say to open it for both TCP and UDP, and it can't be the same port as your Java server. Newer Geyser versions add a NetherNet transport option, so check the setup page for your version.
4. Bedrock players add the server by IP and port.

Console players may need extra steps to add custom servers. Follow Geyser's current docs for your platform.
